Abstract

This paper examined enhancing skill development through Creative Arts Education for inclusive society: technological implications. The paper emphasized that Creative Arts Education is diverse in forms, and fosters creativity, critical thinking, innovation, and vocational competence among learners. Despite the potentials of Creative Arts, the field faces persistent challenges including inadequate funding, poor infrastructure, lack of trained educators, minimal technological integration, and weak policy support. These limitations have hindered skill development and employability skills essential for inclusive skilled society. The paper argues that effective integration of technology into Art Education can transform skill acquisition by enabling digital creativity, equitable access, and global competitiveness. It proposes strategic interventions such as curriculum reform, teacher professional development, inclusive pedagogical practices, adequate funding, and strong institutional frameworks to strengthen Creative Arts Education in Nigeria. Accordingly, the paper suggested that Education authorities should redesign Creative Arts curricula to incorporate practical skill training, entrepreneurship, and digital creativity to prepare learners for inclusive skilled society.
